With the rapid expansion and availability of technology, photography is now used on an
unprecedented scale; millions of images are created around the globe every single day.
People from all realms of life take photos to preserve moments, to share experiences, and to express thoughts, ideas, and feelings. The idea for Pixie Lab & Studio was born out of the need for a photography hub that takes a fresh look at the evolving photography scene in Cyprus. Our vision is to bring together photographers, visual artists, creative entrepreneurs, collectors and anyone else with a sincere interest in the medium, with the aim to contribute to the enhancement of cultural life within the local community.

Initially established in 2018 as a studio and a space for photography classes, Pixie Lab &
Studio has recently expanded both its physical presence and its services. Besides a renovated studio that can accommodate a number of different needs and requirements, Pixie Lab & Studio now offers a minimal, yet welcoming, space for classes, lectures, discussions and other events, an exhibition space, film development and scanning services, as well as Cyprus’ only physical and online bookstore specializing in photography.

Being a fast-growing small business, our greatest asset is our people: a diverse team from
various backgrounds and experience, eager to support each other and to direct our efforts

Services:

Classes:

We offer photography classes for kids, teens and adults. Current classes include Introduction to Photography, Photo editing, and analog photography. One-on-one tutorials also offered, tailored to individual experience and needs.

Workshops & Events:

From time to time we organize thematic workshops and events with acclaimed local & international photographers. Past workshops included low-key photography, portraiture, and advanced lighting techniques.

Film Development:

Our film services include development and high resolution scanning of 35mm, 120mm, and slides. We also carry a variety of quality films for different needs and purposes. Benefits and discounts apply through our Membeberhip Scheme.

Bookstore:

We offer a carefully curated selection of photo-books and books dedicated to arts from publishing houses such Aperture, Steidl, Taschen, Magnum, Phaidon, Thames & Hudson etc. Signed and limited editions are available upon request.

Exhibitions:

We have expanded our physical presence and operations to include a state-of-the-art space for solo & group photography exhibitions. Out vision is to collaborate, support, and promote both established & emerging photographers living and working in Cyprus.
