    Flying Courses & Qualifications

    Welcome to Nicosia Aeroclub

    Nicosia Aeroclub was established in Lefkosia(Nicosia), Cyprus with a wide range of member activities and flight training.
    We are now based at Larnaca International Airport(LCLK) and we offer range of Cessna Aircrafts. Formed in 1996, Nicosia Aeroclub has over 100 members on their roster. Many pilots from Cyprus Airways & Eurocypria Airlines have started their career from here!

    We provide members with :

    • regular club meetings,
    • seminars,
    • air rallies and clinics on air safety issues
    • We work to increase general aviation awareness in our country by offering free support to non-pilots on the new media.

    Courses : 

    Private Pilot Course (PPL)

    The PPL course requires a minimum of 45 hours flying time which includes 10 hours solo and finishes with a flight test with an examiner.You must pass an Aviation Class 2 medical examination and provided you are reasonably fit there should be no problem. Disability or a medical condition does not have to prohibit you from flying, give us a call or pop in and see us, there are many ways to overcome the barriers.

    The course duration should be between 6 and 18 months dependant on weather and your personal circumstances and availability.

    The Night Qualification

    To gain this qualification you must complete 5 hours, a cross country of at least 50 nautical miles and 5 solo full stop landings. There are no ground or flight tests for the Night Qualification.

    Differences Training

    Of the various differences, we can offer VP Prop, Retractable & Turbo.

    Aerial Seeing for Members Only

    A sightseeing flight is a fun way to experience general aviation for the first time.  Great activity for honeymooners, tourists or a memorable first date or anniversary.  It's a lot more exciting than a movie or evening of bowling.  Flights are available anytime except during inclement weather or fog.  It also makes a great gift for a high school graduate or birthdays.
